I'm sure every genealogist quickly becomes familiar with Everton Publishers. Their publication, Everton's Genealogical Helper, is legend
and has been a must read by genealogists for decades.
In addition to the Helper, Everton also offers online access to a variety of resource at a very reasonablew subscription price. For
$48/year, a subscriber gets the Genealogical Helper delivered via snail mail. In addition:
- Everton's Computerized Family Files (original Everton Family Group Sheets) - This collection contains digitally scanned images of
the original Family Group Sheets submitted to Everton Publisher's by readers of the Genealogical Helper magazine. As the file comes
online there will be more than 97,000 individual family group sheets containing information on more than 1,000,000 individuals from
all fifty states and around the world.
- Everton's Computerized Pedigree Files - This collection contains digitally scanned images of the original Pedigree Charts
submitted to Everton Publisher's by readers of the Genealogical Helper magazine. As the file comes online there will be more than
39,000 individual Pedigree Charts containing information on approximately 650,000 individuals from all fifty states and around the
world.

- Newspaper Archive Elite - Over 400 digital historic newspapers from throughout the US, Canada and the UK. Major newspapers are
included, but many small city, town and county newspapers are also available. 12 million + fully searchable pages allows you to
research articles, obituaries and data of all types. Articles date back to the 18th century.
- Small Town Papers - Provides cutting-edge, digital archive technology for an extensive database of the country's smallest
newspapers. View these newspapers exactly as they were printed and open the door to historical information and names that have been
virtually unavailable.
- Social Security Death Index (Updated Monthly) - A collection of over 74 million records of people for whom social
security death benefits have been paid.
- Everton Genealogical Library- 60,000+ books, records, newsletters, pedigree charts, magazines, maps, manuscripts, etc., will
begin to appear in mid-2005. The material will be accessible via a very sophisticated search engine, and the entire collection of
copyright available material will appear as soon as the necessary scanning, tagging and coding takes place.
Everton doesn't have the breadth of resources of a mega online resource such as Ancestry, but for $48/year, including a hard-copy
subscription to the Helper, it's a great deal.
