Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness was "originally begun by the coordinators and researchers of a small site, which grew rapidly into a national, then international, movement." At RAOGK you will find hundreds of volunteers, organized by state and county, ready to donate their time and expertise to make videotapes or take photographs at cemeteries, or do lookups at their local county courthouses. These random acts of kindness are free to you except for the cost of copies, postage, film etc. RAOGK would also love to have you as a volunteer. Complete details are at their website.
