Same great spreadsheets, updated website look!
CensusTools genealogy spreadsheets were created by Gary Minder as a result of his inability to find a practical solution to keep track of the census data found in his research. After trying to enter extracted census data into his genealogy program’s primitive text editor, the mess and frustration led him to create his first spreadsheet in 2001 so the data could be electronically preserved in an easy to view format. 40 genealogy spreadsheets later, CensusTools provides researchers with quality tools to electronically record, preserve and archive family history data.
When Gary announced that he was unable to continue maintaining CensusTools in June 2015, Mary Ann Kelley of CollectingCousins.com contacted him to see about continuing the website. Mary Ann has an extensive background in web publishing and a passion for genealogy, so it was a perfect match. Under the umbrella of M.A. Kelley and Company, Inc., Mary Ann will maintain CensusTools and plans to add to the excellent spreadsheet collection that Gary developed.
